Better Than New

Apr 5, 2026    Rev Dr James P Broughton, III

How do we view the pain and scars of our past? How do we respond when we watch our hope die? This message draws from the Japanese art of kintsugi—where broken pottery is mended with gold, making it more valuable than before—inviting us to see our scars, wounds, and fractures through God's eyes. Jesus' resurrection challenges us to stop hiding what we've been through, and to see the value and testimony of Jesus in the midst of our vulnerabilities.
