PRAYER REQUESTS

FASTING GUIDELINES

As we prepare for a time of renewal, we invite each of you to join us for a church-wide intentional time of prayer and fasting here at Damascus. Throughout the next coming weeks leading up to our 51st Church Anniversary, we will provide resources to keep you informed about the prayer strategy for this season. We are trusting in God for great things. The purpose of this fast is not to seek God’s hand (i.e. what He can give) but to seek His face (i.e. who He is, and what we should give to Him). We all know that God desires our all. However there are always areas of our lives where we could give Him much more.
We invite you to step out on faith believing that God is faithful to answer prayer, and as you seek His face, ask Him which areas in your life you are still holding back from Him. He wants you, and He wants you to want Him fully.
Let us seek Him together.

DAY 10: Sing a song of victory because our God reigns!
The God of justice has moved on our behalf! Thank Him for daily provisions! Walk in the light of His power. Pray for those in need who have not redeemed God’s promises of provisions and protection.

MEDITATION: Psalm 68; 1 Corinthians 15:54-56

DAY 9: A prayer to BE a blessing!
In Psalm 67:1, the Psalmist speaks the Aaronic Blessing (Numbers 6:24-26)
in gratitude for the blessings and grace found in our relationship with God.
Pray and look for an opportunity to be a blessing today!

MEDITATION: Psalm 67; Genesis 12:1-4; Joshua 4:23-24

DAY 8: God answers prayer! The Psalmist has a testimony! (Psalm 66:16)
It is a blessing when God answers our prayers but how much more
joy & praise for Him when you tell someone about it!
Pray for an opportunity to share your testimony!

MEDITATION: Psalm 66:1, 16-17; Psalm 22:2

DAY 7: Thank God for the magnificence of the morning and the peace of the evening. Give Him praise! (Psalm 65:1-8) We are turning the corner.
Signs of God’s life and favor are around us!
Pray for the harvest of the lost and for God to bring revival to the Puget Sound.

MEDITATION: Psalm 65; Philippians 4:19: John 4:35-3

DAY 6: Words have power! What is spoken shapes your reality!
Who has the final say - God or the enemy?
Pray and allow God's Words to move in your spirit!

MEDITATION: Psalm 64:1-10; John 6:63; Proverbs 18: 20-21

DAY 5: Read Psalm 63:1. These are cries, not black letters on a page.
God is gone. How can we survive? Is your soul thirsty for God?
Pray for an encounter with the Presence!

MEDITATION: Psalm 63:1-2; Psalm 42:1-5

DAY 4: In your crisis, who do you trust?
Pray for an ear to hear and eyes to discern how God is demonstrating His awesome power! Remember: Power belongs to God!

MEDITATION: Psalm 62:11; Psalm 37:5

DAY 3: Feeling worried, anxious, or a lack of closeness to God? Consecrate your heart and ask the Lord for deeper intimacy with Him.

MEDITATION: Psalm 61:1-3; Philippians 4:4-8

DAY 2:  Ask for help and healing
as the Holy Spirit reveals areas of weakness and vulnerability.

MEDITATION: Psalm 60:9-12; Psalm 139:22-23; Ephesians 6:1-9
